چکیده
ACCESS AND PHY SIOGRAPIHY Large lakes at elevations ranging from 656 to 844 re t res provide boat access to about 30 per cent of the map area. These lakes are most easily reached by floatplane or hslicopter, both stationed in Atlin some 40 kilometres to the east. During high water (earl) July through to late Septenber) Tagish Lake can also he reached from Atlin by powerbolt via the Atlin River. At highest water, this route is perilou.; and recommended only for experienced boaters.

Tagish Lake -- A Meteorite from the Far Reaches of the Asteroid Belt
Written by David W. Mittlefehldt NASA, Johnson Space Center Pieces of a 56-metric-ton meteorite rained down over a wide area of Canada on January 18, 2000. Many pieces landed on the frozen Tagish Lake, allowing scientists to recover numerous samples, and giving the meteorite its name. Studies show that the meteorite is intermediate in composition between the two most primitive groups of chondri...

Introduction: The Tagish Lake carbonaceous chondrite has been the focus of much attention since its isotopic, trace element, and mineralogic properties demonstrate a unique history [1-5]. We have analyzed both pristine and disturbed Tagish Lake samples for 12 major and minor elements by ICPMS and ICPOES. When combined with data collected earlier [1], this brings the total number of elements qua...
متن کاملSulfide–oxide Assemblage in Tagish Lake Carbonaceous Chondrite;
Introduction: Tagish Lake, an observed fall in the year 2000, was classified by [1] as a type 2 carbonaceous chondrite. It bears similarity to CI 1 and CM chondrites but is distinct from both. [2] noted that the overall trace elements abundance pattern in Tagish Lake is similar to those of CM chondrites indicating that Tagish Lake and CMs experienced very similar nebular processes. The mineralo...
متن کاملRe-Os isotopic systematics and platinum group element composition of the Tagish Lake carbonaceous chondrite
The Tagish Lake meteorite is a primitive C2 chondrite that has undergone aqueous alteration shortly after formation of its parent body. Previous work indicates that if this type of material was part of a late veneer during terrestrial planetary accretion, it could provide a link between atmophile elements such as H, C, N and noble gases, and highly siderophile element replenishment in the bulk ...
